Problem Solving Approach Lab

 I was kinda nervous headed into this lab because of I was unfamiliar with and I was unsure on which would be the most effective way to teach this. However, I lead my peers through a worksheet activity where they determined how to treat aphids in our greenhouse, in hopes of them realizing they needed to more information to make a real decision or which treatment is best and that is what we would be discussing in the upcoming days.  This is was able to give student autonomy of their learning they did their own "guided" research and decided how they wanted to solve the problem, which also created buy in for my unit because they realized that were missing some information to solve this issue.  I learned that giving my students a guiding worksheet will be especially helpful and along with that either providing guided notes or encouraging them to take notes about content during the lesson will be needed. 3-  Identify 3 relevant connections to your student teaching internships 1. When thinking about student teaching I want to find ways for my students to work their way up Bloom's taxonomy and through problem-based learning that can be accomplished. Trying to incorporate these methods into my classroom will help students to control their learning more and not just memorize facts.  2. Another connection to student teaching is how in problem-based learning they will have to solve a problem. This transfers well to life with career skills and having students be equipped to deal with problems. As one of my goals in student teaching helping students be prepared for what comes next in their life and this is one way in the classroom I can do that.  3.
